Jonathan is a writer and journalist who spent 18 years at The Times, including ten years as Architecture Correspondent. He covered stories ranging from a glove puppet called Mr Grunwald being used to refuse planning permission in Bristol to the opening of the National Museum of Qatar, an event also attended by Peter Mandelson, Posh Spice and Johnny Depp, none of whom wanted to talk to him.

He has also written for The Guardian, Daily Mail and Evening Standard and continues to contribute to The Spectator. Before joining The Times, he worked at the Royal Institute of British Architects, including on the Stirling Prize with Channel 4.

When not annoying members of the architecture profession, he can usually be found on a wet Welsh hillside wondering where the nearest pub is. He is currently writing a book on "space architecture" for Bedford Square but is also looking for interesting assignments to keep the bailiffs at bay.
